McMahon Services Proudly Delivers Stage One of the Barrier Highway Road Improvement Program
McMahon Services is proud to deliver Stage One of the Barrier Highway Road Improvement Program.

We’re privileged to help accomplish the goals of the Roads of Strategic Importance (ROSI) initiative from the Australian Government, aiming to deliver improvements to freight movements, support regional economic growth and connectivity, and improved road safety for all.

Stage one, stretching from Yunta to Terowie, included pavement resealing and rehabilitation of 44km, 54km of shoulder extension and 15 new drainage extensions. The project team overcame great logistical challenges including flooding, COVID border closures and resource delivery to remote locations.

With stage two, between Cockburn and Mana Hill well underway, the Barrier Highway Project is a great example of the partnership between the Department for Infrastructure and Transport and local industry. We’re honoured to contribute to this partnership, delivering safer roads for all.
